Final Warning Letter
This Final Formal Warning is normally used where misconduct or poor performance is serious, or where an employee has already received a first formal warning and has then committed further misconduct or failed to improve.
It records that the matter has reached a more serious stage in the disciplinary process.
When to Use This Final Formal Warning Letter
Use this letter where the employee’s conduct or performance justifies a final warning rather than an initial formal warning.
- serious misconduct or poor performance
- further misconduct after a first formal warning
- failure to improve after an earlier warning
Final Warning in a Formal Disciplinary Process
This letter is intended for use at a later stage of the disciplinary procedure, where earlier action has not resolved the issue or the problem is serious enough to justify a final warning at once.
It helps the employer confirm the seriousness of the position in writing.
