Locksmith Terms and Conditions (Home)

BS.TC.34

These Locksmith Terms and Conditions are designed for use by locksmiths providing their services to consumer clients. These terms can be included in a document such as a quotation or displayed on a website. They can also be used as a stand-alone document.

A contract schedule is also included, which enables the terms and conditions contained within this document to be easily converted into a legally-binding agreement.

An alternative version of this document is available for business-to-business transactions.

This document includes a range of provisions designed to make it compatible with key consumer protection legislation including, but not limited to, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This includes the important 14-day “cooling off” period for off-premises contracts (as well as exceptions where the services in question are to be provided within that period). For GDPR compatibility, a reference is also included to a separate Privacy Notice or policy.

It is important for all traders to be aware of their obligations and the rights of consumers under the law. This template has been drafted with these obligations and rights in mind.

Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.
