Locksmith Terms and Conditions (Home)

These Locksmith Terms and Conditions are designed for use by locksmiths providing their services to consumer clients. 

These terms of business can be provided to a client as  a stand-alone document or included in a document such as a quotation or displayed on a website. A form of "Service Agreement" is also included at Schedule 1 that can be used as the “Agreement” referred to in this document. The "Agreement" is the agreement in writing that incorporates these terms of business and constitutes the legally binding contract for the services. Alternatively locksmiths can use their own form of Agreement. 

This document includes a simple cross-reference to a Privacy Policy. A range of Privacy Policy templates is available in our UK GDPR and Data Protection group.

An alternative version of this document is available for business-to-business transactions.

This document includes a range of provisions designed to make it compatible with key consumer protection legislation including, but not limited to, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This includes the important 14-day “cooling off” period for off-premises contracts (as well as exceptions where the services in question are to be provided within that period).

It is important for all traders to be aware of their obligations and the rights of consumers under the law. This template has been drafted with these obligations and rights in mind.
