This Non-Domestic MEES Flowchart – Requirements by 1 April 2023 – is to provide a quick reference to the steps to check to establish if an existing let commercial property will meet the requirements of the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations to have an EPC rating of at least E by 1 April 2023.

The flowchart assumes that the property is not within an exempt category or that there is no requirement to obtain an EPC under the current legislation.  The flowchart does not include any details of the Government’s proposals to further increase EPC ratings.
