Commercial Landlord’s Letter to Tenant Regarding Estate Agent or Letting Agent Appraisal

Letter to Commercial Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal

PROP.RES.216

This Letter to Commercial Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal is for use by a landlord who is thinking of selling or re-letting a tenanted commercial property and has arranged for one or more estate agents or lettings agents to appraise the property. This letter should be printed on the landlord’s headed paper and sent to the tenant.

Most business leases (including our Simply-docs templates) allow the landlord to enter the property during the term of the lease for this purpose, subject to giving the tenant reasonable notice (or sometimes a set amount of notice). Landlords should ensure that they comply with the relevant terms of the lease when arranging such appraisals.

This Letter confirms the date and time of each agent’s appointment. The tenant is asked to sign a copy of the letter and return it to the landlord to confirm their acceptance of the arrangements. The landlord must remember to send the tenant two copies of the letter and a stamped addressed envelope.

Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.

This Letter to Commercial Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal is in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.
