Guidance on Register of PSC of a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee
This Guidance on Register of People with Significant Control of a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee is relevant to all charities which are set up in the form of a Charity Company Limited by Guarantee (CCLG) rather than as a CIO or in unincorporated form. This Guidance Note summarises the legal requirement for all CCLGs to keep a Register of People with Significant Control of the Company.
The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 (SBEE) requires CCLGs to keep a register of individuals or legal entities that have control over them (PSC Register).
This guidance is only intended to highlight some key points concerning the requirement for a CCLG to keep a PSC Register. It is not a substitute for the more comprehensive guidance on the PSC Regime in the PSC Registers group in the Corporate folder, and you should also read that guidance note if you are involved with a CCLG.
The subfolders in the PSC Registers group contain all of the guidance, forms and other documents which a CCLG will need in order to comply with the SBEE requirements relating to keeping a PSC Register.
