Example of Fire Safety Information to be provided to Tenant

PROP.RES.263

This Example of Fire Safety Information to be provided to Tenant is an example of the type of provisions which may appear in Fire Safety Information Instructions and which should be attached to the Letter to Tenant Providing Fire Safety Instructions & Fire Door Instructions (England).

The example can be used to help assessors get started when putting together Fire Safety Information for Tenants to meet the requirements of Regulation 9 of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

This worked example is based on a small two storey house with four lettable units sharing common fire escape routes.

This document should only be used as an example of the type of information which should be provided to tenants and is not likely to be appropriate for all buildings. It is imperative that any fire risk assessment and tenant fire safety information instructions are specific to each location. They should be assessed and produced by an appropriately qualified fire risk assessor to ensure your fire evacuation procedures and the information provided is sufficient to ensure the safety of your tenants.

This document is also available in Residential Landlords – Houses in Multiple Occupation and Rented Property Licensing.
