Letter to Residential Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal
This Letter to Residential Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal is for use by a residential landlord who is thinking of selling or re-letting a tenanted property and has arranged for one or more estate agents or lettings agents to appraise the property. This letter should be printed on the landlord’s headed paper and sent to the tenant.
Most tenancy agreements (including our Simply-docs templates) allow the landlord to enter the property for this purpose, subject to giving the tenant reasonable notice (or sometimes a set amount of notice). Landlords should ensure that they comply with the relevant terms of the tenancy agreement when arranging such appraisals.
This Letter confirms the name of each agent and the date and time when they will be visiting the property. The tenant is asked to sign a copy of the letter and return it to the landlord to confirm their acceptance of the arrangements. The landlord must remember to send the tenant two copies of the letter and a stamped addressed envelope.
This Letter to Residential Tenant: Access for Sales or Letting Appraisal is in open format. Either enter the requisite details in the highlighted fields or adjust the wording to suit your purposes.
