Under the Companies Act 2006, as amended by the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015, UK incorporated companies, UK LLPs and UK Societates Europaeae must collect and keep information about people with significant control over them in a statutory register, known as the Register of People with Significant Control (PSC register).

PSC registers are public documents, with only limited details remaining private. Companies are therefore under an obligation to keep the PSC register open and transparent, including allowing public access to it and notifying Companies House of its location (amongst other things).

Private companies also have the option to keep their PSC register (along with other statutory registers) at Companies House.

This collection contains template letters and correspondence that companies may wish to use in three common situations: dealing with Companies House about where the PSC register is kept (including electing to keep it at Companies House and the mechanics involved), responding to inspection requests, and using the protection of information regime where an application is made to keep certain information out of the public domain.
