This Letter to residential tenant with copy of updated EPC is for use by a landlord who has undertaken energy efficiency works to improve the energy efficiency of a property.   All domestic properties are required to have an EPC rating of at least E since 1 April 2020. The government's original proposals for all residential lets to achieve an EPC rating of C by 1 April 2028 were scrapped in September 2023.  Whilst not legally required to make improvements above E, landlords may wish to carry out energy efficiency works and this letter can be used to assist with the process.   This letter should be printed on the landlord’s headed paper and sent to the tenant.
