Office Worker /Administrator Employment Contract (Part-time)
This Office Worker / Administrator Employment Contract (Part-time) is designed to be applied to a wide variety of jobs, in particular clerical, administrative and secretarial roles and many other junior levels.
This employment contract has a General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-compliant data processing clause. After 25 May 2018, employers must use this clause, as employers will not be able to rely on the existing generic consent clauses.

This contract contains substantial confidentiality provisions, as it is common for office workers to have access to confidential information. However, it does not contain restrictive covenants. Note that there is no provision for additional benefits such as private health insurance or company car. The contract includes ‘boiler plate’ clauses, on hours, holiday, sickness absence, pension and retirement. There is a clause providing that employees may be required to travel on business anywhere within the UK.
The contract takes into account the requirement to provide part time workers with the same rates of pay and benefits as full time workers, but on a pro rata basis. The Working Time Regulations 1998 state that workers whose working day is six hours or longer must be granted a rest break during the working day of at least 20 minutes. This contract offers alternative clauses depending on whether or not the employee is entitled to a rest break.
The Pensions Act 2014 introduced a new state pension for people reaching state pension age on or after 6 April 2016, replacing the previous basic state pension and additional state pension and ending contracting out for defined-benefit schemes. This employment contract has been updated accordingly with the removal of the clause referring to the contracting out certificate.
