Resignation Following Adoption
This Resignation Following Adoption letter is for the use of an employee that is either due to begin adoption leave or is already on adoption leave. If an employee does not wish to return to work after adoption leave, s/he can still take the leave, claiming Statutory Adoption Pay and time the resignation in such a way that it takes effect at the end of the adoption leave.
This resignation letter contains two optional opening sentences. The first is for use by employees that have already begun their adoption leave; the second is for those who have not yet started their leave.
