Flexible Working Decision
This Flexible Working Decision is for use by employers to follow on from a meeting with an employee regarding their change to a flexible working pattern. This letter should be sent to the employee within 14 days following the meeting.
This letter contains two optional paragraphs. The first accepts the employee’s request; the second denies the request and sets out an alternative which should have been discussed and accepted by the employee at the meeting.
If an employer decides to completely reject an employee’s request for flexible working they should not use this letter but refer instead to the Flexible Working Rejection Letter.
