These E-Commerce Sale of Goods Website Terms of Sale are designed for use by online retailers on e-commerce websites providing goods to business customers. These terms are sufficiently broad to cover virtually any kind of goods sold on a single-transaction basis.
Using user-friendly language, these e-commerce terms of sale guide customers through the order process, explaining the formation of the contract between them and the trader, also setting out details on goods, pricing and availability (with particular regard for the accuracy of, and changes to such information), payment, delivery, risk and ownership.
As this is a document designed for business-to-business transactions, no “cooling off period” is provided (although one can be added if desired, on a contractual basis rather than a statutory one, by using our business-to-consumer terms for reference). Customers are optionally given limited cancellation rights where delivery problems occur, as well as more comprehensive rights with respect to faulty, damaged or incorrect goods. Liability is also limited to a commercially fair degree.
