Bar Staff Employment Contract

This Bar Staff Employment Contract can be used for temporary, permanent and fixed term roles. It includes provisions drafted specifically for bar work, including smoking at work, mobile phone use behind the bar, dress code, security and stock control, the employer’s right of search, and restrictions on the employee taking on other paid work.

The contract also includes a Drugs and Alcohol clause, enabling the employer to carry out random breath and drugs tests on employees who are suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Written statement of main terms

Employers must provide workers and employees with a written statement of their main terms and conditions of employment, often known as a Standard Form Section One Statement.

This contract covers the requirements of a Standard Form Section One Statement. It complies with those requirements and must be provided to the employee or worker by day one of employment.
