This Flexible Working Request Acknowledgement Letter is used after an employee has made a written flexible working request or submitted an application form.

It acknowledges receipt of the request and confirms that a meeting will be arranged to discuss the employee’s proposed flexible working pattern.

Acknowledging a flexible working request

This letter helps the employer respond promptly and formally once a request has been received. It follows on from the employee’s Flexible Working Request Letter.

Applications for flexible working must be handled in a reasonable manner, and this acknowledgement forms part of that process. The Flexible Working Decision Letter can then be used to confirm the employer’s decision.
