Letter of Authorisation
This Letter of Authorisation is designed for use in a situation where a business (or an individual) wishes to authorise another party (a business or an individual) to act on their behalf.
The letter is designed to be sent to the party with whom the authorised individual or business will be dealing, informing them of the authorisation. The letter sets out the names and details of the authorising party and the authorised party, and includes options to set a specific term for the authorisation or to keep it valid until further notice. The particulars of the matters with respect to which the authorised party is to act should be completed in detail so as to leave no doubt or confusion over what can and cannot be done.
Optional phrases / clauses are enclosed in square brackets. These should be read carefully and selected so as to be compatible with one another. Unused options should be removed from the document.
