This letter to a potential or actual landlord enclosing a Privacy Notice is for use by a residential letting agent who needs to provide a landlord with a copy of the letting agent’s Privacy Notice.

This document has been updated in line with the UK GDPR and is ready for use from the start of 2021.

The letter can either enclose the Privacy Notice (or attach it to an email) or direct the recipient to a web page where the Privacy Notice can be viewed.

The recipient of the letter is asked to sign a copy of the letter and return it to the letting agent to confirm receipt. The letting agent must remember to send two copies of the letter and a stamped addressed envelope. A separate letter (or email) should be sent to each individual landlord.
