Reschedule Grievance Meeting Letter

EMP.GRIEV.13

A grievance meeting is a formal meeting held to address and resolve concerns raised by an employee. Employers should arrange for a formal meeting to be held without unreasonable delay after an employee grievance is received.

Employers are required to follow fair and reasonable procedures for dealing with grievance issues. It is of paramount importance for employers to have Grievance Procedures because they help ensure that any problems, complaints, or concerns that employees may have are dealt with fairly, consistently, and in a timely fashion.

Rescheduling a Grievance Meeting

This Letter Rescheduling Grievance Meeting should be used when a grievance meeting has to be rescheduled because the employee has failed to attend or has requested a delay to the meeting.

It is advisable for employers to allow at least one postponement to a grievance meeting.

Where the original meeting still needs to be arranged, the employer may need the Grievance Meeting Letter. If the employee has failed to attend a grievance meeting, the Failure to Attend Grievance Meeting Letter may also be relevant.
