This Personal Assistant Employment Contract (Company Version) is for use
when a company employs a person to work as a PA.
Employers must provide workers and employees with a written statement of
their main terms and conditions of employment and this is often known as a Standard Form Section One Statement.
This Contract covers the requirements of a Standard Form Section One
Statement. This contract complies with these requirements and must be
provided to the employee or worker by day one of employment.
As this is potentially a close relationship, this contract has special
provisions incorporated to make sure that any disagreements can be dealt
with in a straightforward manner (e.g. it is made clear that the employee
will need to work flexible hours, and that any additional hours will not
attract overtime payment). The contract also specifies the sums can be
deducted from the personal assistant’s salary, to avoid misunderstandings,
and contains an optional clause covering the provision of health insurance
and other benefits. Additionally, it contains an enhanced confidentiality
clause to reflect the fact that the employee may have access to sensitive
