Employers must provide workers and employees with a written statement of their main terms and conditions of employment, often known as a Standard Form Section One Statement.

This contract is suitable for use when employing adult staff. For young workers, employers should consider using the Young Worker Employment Contract instead.
Night-worker specific protections and limits
This contract requires the employer to provide night workers with a free health assessment before they take up their assignments, as well as at regular intervals afterwards.
It also contains a clause which prohibits employees from working more than 8 hours in one 24-hour period if undertaking hazardous or strenuous work.
