A Request for Judgment in Default (County Court Form N227) can be submitted if the Defendant fails to file a defence within 14 days of service of a County Court Claim Form N1. Form N227 asks the Court to enter judgment in favour of the Claimant.

This form should only be used where the claim is for an unspecified amount which is to be decided by the Court. County Court Form N225 should be completed for specified amounts.
