Recruitment Authorisation Form
This Recruitment Authorisation Form should be used by managers in order to put in a formal request for authorisation to recruit new or replacement staff.
The Recruitment Authorisation Form requires the manager to justify the reason for recruitment e.g. replacing an employee or an increase in headcount, and to consider if there are other ways in which the vacancy can be covered, such as a redistribution of duties or use of a temporary worker. Managers are also required to submit a job description for the role to which they are seeking to recruit.
Finally, the manager is asked to specify the equipment that the new employee will need e.g. laptop, telephone etc.
