This Parental Leave Policy is designed for use by employers to ensure that
they provide their employees with all of the rights to which they are
entitled by law, and if necessary exceed them. This policy complies fully
with all current UK law.
Parental Leave is available to parents and adoptive parents of children
under the age of 5 (or 18 in the case of disabled children) and can be used
in conjunction with Paternity or Adoption Leave in order to extend the time
that parents are away from work in order to look after their children.
Shared Parental Leave is not addressed in this policy. Please see the
separate Shared Parental Leave Policy.
