This Guidance on HMOs and Licensing of Private Rented Properties gives a brief overview of the issues landlords need to be aware of regarding the management of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) and the licensing of HMOs and other private rented properties.
The Guidance, which reflects the changes made to HMO regulation in October 2018, sets out the definition of a HMO and a large HMO, describes the licensing regimes, briefly mentions planning law issues and looks at The Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation (England) Regulations 2006. It directs landlords to the letters and notices in this subfolder.
