This Data Subject Rights Letter - Receipt of ID is designed to acknowledge receipt of an individual’s confirmation of identity when further proof of identity was requested before dealing with a data subject rights request.
It confirms that the response period runs from the date that the identity confirmation was received.
When to use this letter
Use this template after you have asked an individual to confirm their identity and that confirmation has now been provided.
What this letter covers
- acknowledgement of receipt of the identity confirmation; and
- confirmation that the one-month response period runs from the date that confirmation was received.
If additional time will be needed
