Mediation Clause

This Mediation Clause is designed to ensure that the parties to a contract use mediation to resolve any dispute which may arise out of (or in connection with) the contract. The parties may agree upon a mediator or, if agreement is not reached within a specified period of time, a body (e.g., CEDR) should be specified and that body will appoint the mediator.

This clause is one of several options available for different forms of dispute resolution, aimed to resolve disputes without recourse to the courts.

This template clause can be used in the drafting of a new contract or to amend or improve an existing one.
