Term and Termination Clause
The Term and Termination clause is one of a number of standard clauses that can be used to draft a new contract or to amend/improve an existing contract. A term and termination clause sets out the term or duration of the contract and the circumstances in which it can be terminated.
This clause template has been reviewed and updated for improved compatibility with other documents in the Simply-Docs portfolio. Minor adjustments to the drafting and structure of the clause also make it easier to read and understand. A new definition to match the use of “Term” within the clause has been included at the head of the document for insertion into the Definitions and Interpretation clause of another agreement.
