LLP Acknowledgement of Retirement

This LLP Acknowledgement of Retirement is for use where a member has retired from an existing LLP and the LLP is formally acknowledging the retirement.

It has been drafted for use with our Limited Liability Membership Agreement and may need adapting if the LLP’s underlying agreement differs significantly from that standard form.

What the LLP acknowledges in this letter

The letter acknowledges the member’s retirement and records the date the retirement takes effect, together with the key terms of the retirement, including:

  • how any sums due to the retiring member will be repaid; and
  • any restrictions the retiring member should comply with after retirement.

When you should use this acknowledgement

This is a standard form acknowledgement intended to be used after the LLP has received the member’s formal Letter of Retirement.
