Notice to Companies House Regarding Withdrawal of Election to Keep Register of Members at Companies House

IN LIGHT OF THE ECONOMIC CRIME & CORPORATE TRANSPARENCY ACT 2023, THIS TEMPLATE IS CURRENTLY UNDER REVIEW. 

A company must give notice to the registrar if, following a previous election to keep its register of members at Companies House, it subsequently decides to withdraw this election and keep its register of members itself.

This Notice to Companies House Regarding Withdrawal of Election to Keep Register of Members at Companies House must be given to the registrar in order to comply with section 128J of the Companies Act 2006. The withdrawal takes effect when the notice is registered by the registrar. The company’s obligation to maintain its register of members applies from then on and the company must update its register of members so that it is current at all times.

The company must also place a note in its register of members stating that the election under section 128B has been withdrawn, when the withdrawal took effect and indicating that information about its members when the election was in force is available from Companies House
