PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE ECONOMIC CRIME & CORPORATE TRANSPARENCY ACT 2023 IS BEING IMPLEMENTED IN PHASES AND MAY CHANGE THIS TEMPLATE. 

Within 7 days from the day on which a strike off application is made to the Registrar, a copy of the application must be sent to every person who, at any time on that day, is a member, employee, creditor or director of the company, as well as any managers or trustees of employee pension funds (section 1006, Companies Act 2006).

What this cover letter is for

This letter can be used to enclose a copy of the strike off application in order to comply with the Companies Act 2006 notification requirement.

Section 1007 of the Companies Act 2006 makes this a continuing obligation to notify anyone who falls into these categories until the application is finally dealt with. Section 1008 of the Companies Act 2006 sets out provisions on service of the copy application.

Important legal point

It is a serious offence not to send a copy of the application to relevant parties within 7 days of sending the application to the Registrar.
