This List of current Trustees for a CIO is designed for use by a charity established as any type of CIO.

It may be kept in such a way as to show only the current trustees at any one time - details of a trustee can be deleted as soon he/she ceases to be a trustee.

Maintaining this List of current Trustees for a CIO in addition to the accompanying Register of Trustees for a CIO in this folder will be useful for a CIO where there is a need to communicate with the current trustees or to check quickly as to who are the current trustees or do anything else which entails having an up to date list of current trustees.

The service address of a trustee in the accompanying Register of Trustees for a CIO is typically the address of the principal office of the CIO itself, so that when the trustees or their secretary or staff wish to send any document or other thing to the CIO’s trustees, they will generally need to use a personal or other correspondence address for the trustee instead. Such contact addresses can conveniently be kept on this document.

The CIO may also need to make use of additional information about its trustees for compliance or other purposes. This list can serve to record such additional information. We have included several columns to record information typically needed by a CIO.

The list can be used for trustees of all CIOs, however few or many trustees are in office. This document assumes that none of the trustees are corporate bodies.

No one has any legal entitlement to inspect, or be provided with, a copy of the List of current Trustees for a CIO since such a list is not maintained pursuant to the Regulations or any other legislation, and so it would only be for the CIO’s own internal use.

The Regulations governing CIOs do not require the keeping of a list such as this - they only require a Register of Trustees to be kept – but it will be a useful for any CIO to keep such a list.
