This List of Reportable Major Injuries, Over-Seven-Days Injuries, and Dangerous Occurrences should assist the duty holder in identifying whether or not an accident requires reporting under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR).
All deaths connected to the work activity need to be reported.
This list of Major Injuries and reportable Dangerous Occurrences provides a reference to enable you to decide whether an accident in the workplace requires reporting under RIDDOR. If the accident requires reporting then this should be noted on the Accident Record and this report must be sent to the Incident Contact Centre (details provided on the form) or your local HSE office or local authority within 15 days of the accident.
In respect of diseases, if you or any of your employees is told in writing by a doctor that you/he/she is suffering from a reportable disease you must send a completed F2508A to the relevant authority immediately. The Form 2508A can be found in this section entitled 'Other First Aid Accidents'.
