The Letter acknowledges receipt of the appeal and confirms that the appeal will be considered. In order to comply with the requirements of the ombudsman redress schemes to which agents must belong, there should be a “speedy, separate and detached review of the complaint by staff not directly involved in the transaction”, and the outcome must be notified to the complainant within 15 working days.
