Director confirmation of agreement to being furloughed

If an executive director of a company is a contracted permanent employee of a company on or before 30 October 2020, they will qualify for furlough under the extension to the Government’s Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (the Scheme). If a company proposes to furlough a director, that director must confirm their agreement to being furloughed.

This template form of response letter can be used to communicate this agreement by the director to being furloughed in line with the Scheme.

This template has been updated to reflect the extension of the Scheme until 31st March 2021. The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has now been extended until 30 April 2021.
