What is a register of directors (individuals)?

Register of Directors (individuals)

Companies are required to keep a register of Directors at their registered office. This Register of Directors (Individuals) has been created to fulfil this requirement. We also have a separate register for corporate directors.

Individuals are required to provide a service address rather than a residential address and any business name by which the director was formerly known. The register must be available for inspection by other members of the company and the public.

Note that the intention of legislation passing through Parliament as of June 2014 is that the role of a corporate director will be largely abolished and the status of registers that companies are required to keep will change. There is a proposed move to an optional system of private company registers and mandatory public registers. We will amend/update our documents when the passage of the legislation becomes clearer.

This Register of Directors (Individuals) is in fixed field format. Simply press TAB to jump from one field to the next and SHIFT + TAB to go back. Alternatively, use the mouse to click from one field to the next. If you are using Microsoft Office 2003 or older, the template can be unlocked by clicking on the “Padlock” icon on the tool bar. To display the “Padlock” icon click on “View” and then “Toolbars”. From the “Toolbars” menu, select “Forms”.

A Register of Directors for corporate directors is also available.

Users of Microsoft Office 2007 must first click on the “Review” tab to reveal the “Protect Document” button. From the “Permissions” panel that opens, click on the “Stop Protection” button.

Once you have subscribed to the Corporate Document Folder click on the “Download Document” button below. You will be asked what you want to do with the file. It is recommended that you save the document to a location of your choice prior to viewing.
