CHF - PSC07 – Notice of Ceasing to be a Person with Significant Control

CO.PSC.43

Under the Companies Act 2006, as amended by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023, most UK companies (and LLPs) are required to identify the people with significant control over them (PSCs) and provide this information to Companies House where this information is publicly recorded. This includes those who own or control (directly or indirectly) more than 25% of the entity. Companies (and LLPs) are required to file this information with Companies House.

Companies House Form PSC07 should be used to notify Companies House that a person or entity is no longer a Person of Significant Control (PSC), Relevant Legal Entity (RLE) or Other Registrable Person (ORP).

Note that the PSC register at Companies House cannot be left blank. Failure to comply with the regime and provide timely and accurate PSC information to Companies House, without a reasonable excuse, is a criminal offence. Failure to comply (by companies, their officers and those required to provide the relevant information) is a criminal offence, with those found guilty facing up to two years imprisonment and/or a fine.

This form should not be used if an individual PSC is applying or has applied for protection from having their details disclosed on the public register.

This document is in PDF format and the up to date version of it can be found on the Companies House website by clicking on this link to the relevant page: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/give-notice-ceasing-to-be-an-individual-person-with-significant-control-psc07.
