Removing an auditor: key process points
The shareholders of a company may remove an auditor from office at any time.
The process is very similar to that required to remove a director from office. A general meeting should be convened on special notice (28 days), and the auditor will be entitled to make special representations, which should be circulated to the shareholders.
Companies House filing
Form AA03 must be filed at Companies House.
