Service Contracts for Residential Landlords
Contracts For Provision Of Regular Services To Let Residential Premises
Often a Landlord will need to appoint a person or company to provide regular services to properties in the Landlord’s portfolio. Common examples are weekly or fortnightly cleaning and gardening services. Other services might include concierge, administration or catering, depending on the nature of the premises.
Some service providers, particularly large entities, will have their own terms and conditions which they will require the Landlord to sign up to. In other cases the Landlord will be able to sign the service provider up to the Landlord’s own standard form of service contract.
New Templates
Our new template Service Contracts allow a Landlord to appoint a Cleaner, Gardener, Handyman or other Service Provider to provide services to rental properties on a recurring basis.
The Cleaner, Gardener and General Service Contracts envisage visits being made by the service provider to the property on a regular (daily, weekly or monthly) basis. The Handyman Contract is slightly different in that it provides a framework for the Handyman to provide services on an ad hoc basis.
Each Contract allows the parties to specify the Properties covered by the agreement, the exact services that will be provided and the payment structure.
These Service Contracts contain detailed provisions setting out the obligations of each party covering legal issues such as liability and insurance. The templates are flexible and contain optional and alternative clauses which can be used or omitted to suit the Landlord’s requirements.
