The Host should also check with the relevant local authority whether any licence, registration, planning permission, property registration or other local authority approval is required for the Property to be used as holiday accommodation. requirements can vary depending on the location and type of accommodation. 

The Host should also make enquiries with any superior landlord concerning consent to let under the terms of the lease.

Holiday Let - Not a Main or Principal Residence

This Agreement is specifically for holiday accommodation. The property is provided to the Guest for a temporary holiday stay and must not be used as the Guest's main or principal home.  The agreement makes clear that the parties intend the occupation to be for holiday purposes and not to create an assured tenancy under the Housing Act 1988(as amended). This is particularly important for holiday-let owners who want to distinguish a genuine short-term holiday letting from a residential tenancy.
