This List of Reportable Major Injuries, Dangerous Occurrences and Diseases should assist the duty holder in identifying whether or not an accident requires reporting under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).
This list provides a reference to enable you to decide whether an accident in the workplace requires reporting under these RIDDOR. If yes, this should be noted on the Accident Record, a Form 2508 completed and this report must be sent to the Incident Contact Centre (details provided on the form) or your local HSE office or local authority within 10 days of the accident.
In respect of diseases, if you or any of your employees is told in writing by a doctor that you/he/she is suffering from a reportable disease you must send a completed F2508A to the relevant authority immediately.
