Section 169 of the Companies Act 2006 requires a company, on receipt of special notice of a resolution to remove a director from office, to send a copy of the notice to the director concerned.

This template cover letter explains the removal process to the director concerned as well as explaining the director’s right to make representations against his/her removal. The letter encloses a copy of the special notice. More details on the removal process can be found in the guidance note in this subfolder.

The letter should be signed by a director or secretary of the company concerned.
