Landlord provides services to a building occupied by a Tenant and the
Landlord needs, due to circumstances beyond its control, to make temporary
changes to the services provided. Most commercial leases allow Landlords to
do this but Landlords should check the terms of a Lease, before using this
Letter, to establish exactly what changes are permitted.
The Letter allows the Landlord to specify:
· The period during which there will be changes to the normal service
· The reasons why the changes are necessary;
· The services that will not be provided during this period; and
· Any additional services that will be provided during this period.
The Letter makes reference to the provisions of the Lease that allow the
Landlord to make changes to the provision of services. The relevant clause
numbers from the Lease should be inserted.
The letter should be countersigned by the tenant to confirm their
acceptance of its terms.
