No Smoking Policy
This No Smoking Policy sets out a Company’s duty to provide a safe working environment and uphold the ban imposed on smoking in public places.
The No Smoking Policy also includes optional clauses in respect of home workers and the use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) in the workplace.
Companies that fail to enforce the provisions laid out in this document will face heavy fines. Simply possessing a smoking policy and ensuring that all employees are aware of it may be sufficient to eliminate or reduce a Company’s liability to pay such fines in the event that an employee does commit an offence.
