Agreement Between House Sharers
This Agreement Between House Sharers is for use by a group of tenants occupying a residential property. It can also be used where there are occupiers who are not named on the tenancy agreement. The agreement sets out how payments of rent and utility bills will be split between the tenants and other occupiers.

Clause 1 deals with the ownership of any contents of the property that are not owned by the landlord.
Clause 2 relates to expenditure on the property. Expenses can be paid for by the tenants and sharers in equal shares or other specified proportions. Provision is made for the adjustment of shares if a sharer ceases to occupy the property.
Clause 3 contains covenants by the sharers as to use and maintenance of the property.
Clause 4 contains standard legal interpretation clauses and clause 5 is a jurisdiction clause.
The agreement should be executed as a deed by each party signing in the presence of a witness.
