Undertaking Right to Rent Checks and Staying Compliant 
You must conduct right to rent checks on all prospective adult occupiers. These checks can be performed in the following ways:
a manual right to rent check;
a right to rent check using an Identity Service Provider (IDSP) and Identity Document Validation Technology;
a Home Office online right to rent check; and
in certain situations, a check may be required with the Home Office Landlord Checking Service
