What information must a UK invoice include?
If you are VAT registered you must issue a full VAT invoice, which has to show a unique sequential number, the invoice date and the tax point, your business name, address and VAT registration number, the customer's name and address, a description of the goods or services, the VAT rate and amount for each item and the total VAT in sterling. If you are not VAT registered, an invoice should still show your details, a number, the date, a description and the amount due.
