Renting Homes Wales delayed until December 2022
The Welsh Government has announced that the implementation date for the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 (‘the Act’) will be postponed until 01 December 2022. The Act was due to come into force on the 15 July 2022 but will now come into force on the 01 December 2022.
Our Renting Homes Wales guidance notes and information pages have been updated to reflect the change to the implementation date.
Landlords and letting agents in Wales are being given more time to implement the changes being introduced by the Act and supporting legislation. The Welsh Government is also expected to produce further legislation in the coming months.
We will continue to monitor the progress of the implementation of this Act and any subordinate legislation that is introduced, and send further updates as and when necessary.
