Pub or Restaurant Health and Safety Arrangements and Procedures
This Pub or Restaurant Arrangements & Procedures document has been written specifically to suit a public house, restaurant, cafe or other eating/drinking establishment.
These Pub or Restaurant Arrangements & Procedures form the final part of the set of three documents – the others being the Health and Safety Statement and the Health and Safety Policy, that when used together set out your commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of your employees and your customers.
If you employ five or more staff the law says you must have a written Health and Safety Policy and associated documents. However even if you have less staff, it is good practice to have a set of procedures in place to ensure that everyone knows who should be doing what from a H&S standpoint.
This document is broken into sections for ease of use. It covers
1. Manual Handling
2. First Aid
3. Accident Reporting
5. Kitchen equipment
6. Dealing with intoxicated customers
and many other health and safety aspects of running a pub or restaurant.
When signed and dated by the most senior person in the business these documents should assist your business in meeting its compliance obligations.
