Display Screen Regulations - Duty Holders
The Health and Safety (Display Screen) Regulations 1992 impose requirements only on employers.
Employees have a duty in the Health and Safety at Work Act to co-operate with their employer. The employee must therefore co-operate with the employer so far as is necessary to enable the requirements of these regulations to be met.
Designers, manufacturers, importers and suppliers of display screen and workstation equipment have related duties under section 6 of the Health and Safety at Work Act. As regards the risks relating to such equipment, these duties include provision of health and safety information to help employers assess the risks and eliminate or control these.
