Display Screen Regulations - Coverage
The Health and Safety (Display Screen) Regulations 1992 cover minimum health and safety requirements for work with display screen equipment at any workplace except drivers' cabs or control cabs for vehicles or machinery and on board any means of transport.
The regulations include requirements relating to:
- VDUs and other display screen equipment;
- workstations comprising display screen equipment, software, necessary and optional accessories, furniture and the immediate work environment;
- work breaks, sight tests, special glasses, training and information for employees who use display screen equipment;
- information for other workers who operate display screen equipment.
